Thanksgiving Breakfast Run! 11-22-07
This was our short little venture out to go to Lake Piru for a morning breakfast ride that consisted of 13 riders. It was Thanksgiving Thursday and some riders thought it would be a great idea to have a little get together before the day was spent with families. After meeting at Starbucks at 7:30 am we proceeded to meet with Fred and Tony at Marie Calendars in Santa Clarita. Then we headed west of the 126 highway about 10 miles heading towards Lake Piru. As we arrived at Piru's Little cafe shop, the deserted looking town was sure enough a sign that the little mom and pop's restaurant was closed, offcourse validated by the local Sheriff who was very nice and helpful to search for us other venues. About 5-7 miles west we came to a conclusion that I.H.O.P would be good enough. Everyone ordered their meals and shared some jokes and laughters as usual. After I.H.O.P we took pictures and posed with our bikes and said our goodbyes and greetings for Thanksgiving. Some of the Guys visited Jimmy after the Breakfast Run. Jimmy was admitted at the Olive View Hospital for an appendix removal. Which for sure was not the bad news for him, but in fact it will probably be something along of not being able to ride for a while.
